This is a beautiful, one owner Yamaha Custom YAS-82z alto in near mint condition with some extra features as well! Upgraded thumb hook, bell brace, neck screw and V1 neck all make this a cut above a typical 82z alto. Not to mention the condition. You might as well compare this to a new one rather than a used, because it was hardly used. The owner of this had four altos and several other horns and could only play one at a time (and played recreationally) so this really was babied to the max. It's an 82Z-1 rather than 2, which doesn't really mean anything as far as I'm concerned. The main upgrade on the 2 is the V1 neck, which this one already has.
If you want a new 82z but you want to save a LOT of money, this is the one to get! It will hold its value well and be easy to own and keep in playing condition, and it will be fine to use on up through college or any kind of playing.
