Beautiful Short shank 50's Selmer Soloist alto mouthpiece. These sport straight sidewalls, tall narrow chamber, subtle rollover baffle. Tip opening measures 0.070" and feels like a Meyer 4/5 to play. This earlier Soloist C* has a slightly more open chamber, not really a horseshoe shape of the later soloist. It plays with a bit less resistance and better projection than I expect from a Soloist C*. Still a warm dark tone, but a little more flexibility as an all around mouthpiece, not necessarily just for classical and concert band work. Get it opened up and pair with an Echomaster alto ligature, and you can try for the Kenny Garrett sound as well. (Good luck!)
