Want an opened up short shank Soloist alto mouthpiece for a discount? That's this. If you shove these onto a new cork, they can sometimes crack, like this one did. It got a custom-made copper band on the shank and should be good to go from now on. It also got a nice reface job by someone (Maybe Erik Greiffenhagen, as his copper bands look like this. The tip measures 0.075 so right around a Meyer 5-6 tip. Easy to play and darker and more 'dry' and less buzzy than a Meyer style piece. Plus the copper band looks cool.
