I have always loved the look of these vintage metal Selmer Classic scroll shank mouthpieces. The fluted sides and the way the silver plate ages just looks so cool. Tonally, they are also different from a Soloist, because the chamber is medium and round instead of the 'horseshoe' shape of the hard rubber vintage Selmer mouthpieces. Unlike you may expect from a metal mouthpiece, this plays pretty dark and smooth, and blends well while still feeling like a metal mouthpiece. It also tunes really well on a Selmer. The tip is 0.073" which is like a C* hard rubber tenor piece as well, and is a good classical or concert band tenor mouthpiece tip opening. These are pretty hard to find and play quite well!
