Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone 85xxx

This is a very nice, original lacquer Mark VI SN# 85xxx. It has the original neck with matching serial number. The neck has not been pulled down or damaged at all. The bell, bow, and body tube of the horn are also in extremely clean, undamaged shape. This horn is just how I like a Mark VI to be: beautiful but not so perfect that one scratch takes thousands of dollars off of its value.

This is also one of my favorite Mark VI's for tone that I have sold so far. It has a dark, focused tone with the kind of complex voice that makes these horns so popular. It is hard to find anything like this combination of tone, ergonomics, and intonation on any other model of vintage horn. This particular horn should please anyone who likes 8x,xxx's or who wants an absolutely world-class player that is beautiful as well. This is a horn that I am sorely tempted to keep. My personal tenor could be its twin sister, if that tells you anything.
