From a great collector who bought it from Jan Garbarek, here is the latest serial number Martin curved soprano that I have seen. It is in gorgeous condition with original lacquer, beautiful engraving, and a full overhaul! This has a darker, more tenor-like voice than the Buescher curved, and both of those vintage American saxophones are darker and fuller sounding than a modern curved soprano. Intonation is good but flexible. The keywork is pretty comfortable. For people who love saxophones, this is a very special offering, and I hope it goes to an appreciative home. If it suddenly disappears, it's because I decided to keep it. I think Martin sopranos are the best sounding sopranos ever made, and this is the best curved one I have seen. Plus if you want to travel with a saxophone, it's delightfully small! Just the overhaul on this horn represents a $1500 value. It's excellent. There's most certainly only one available.
