Extremely close to Sigurd Rascher's personal Buescher alto, this one has an absolutely amazing tone, AND it's gold plated (absurdly rare in a New Aristocrat), AND it has a good boy on the bell, which is truly unique. And it has good pads. Not a fresh overhaul, but it plays great on medium aged pads. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better New Aristocrat in any of these ways. 01 neck, virtually no past damage if any, no past repairs that I see. Gold is a little tarnished, but it's on there quite thickly and would polish up to look like new if you wanted to have that done at some point. This is a rare find, and one of the nicest, best playing, and most collectible Bueschers that I have seen. I just love the dog's expression. Thankfully, the intonation on this horn is anything but ruff.
