Yanagisawa’s best saxophone in my opinion. I would take this even over the fully solid silver one, for tone, though the fully silver one is great as well. The bronze gives you a little bit of darkness and complexity along with the zing and overtones from the silver. Hard to beat. These are REALLY rare by the way. Yanagisawa paused production on them indefinitely about a year ago, and that means there are precious few in existence. I think there are probably fewer than a couple of hundred of them total based on how frequently I see them online or for sale. This one just had a full COA – disassembly, cleaning, new oil, checking and reseating all pads, and it’s all fresh and tidy and ready for its next life. Only one available!
