At this point, after selling some of the best saxophones in the world for many years, it takes a lot to get this jaded old saxophone dealer excited.
This Yanagisawa T9932J tenor, though, is really special, and very exciting. I think this model is the best thing that Yanagisawa has done, and I wish that it were made in larger numbers, as I have only seen four of these come up for sale in the past 18 years. I think there are very few of them in existence, as you cannot even order one from within Japan, and all of the ones that exist were made by special order from Europe or possibly the USA, and the buyer had to wait half a year to get it in. So you had to be loaded, patient, motivated, and have good taste. For that reason think there are probably fewer than 100 of these in existence. I have only seen four come up for sale over the past 18 years. This one is in near mint condition, and it has to be one of the nicest that exists. It's nicer than my personal one that has special order unlacquered body tube, but I just like that one and am keeping it instead and selling this. If you want to get one of the best modern saxophones made, and one that you will be happy you bought when you look back at it from the future, you should grab this ASAP!
