This is the rarest of the collectible Yamaha altos we have listed, and it's still very reasonably priced in my book. When the great alto player, Phil Woods, switched to Yamaha, they made a special edition just for him. He selected his favorite 16 horns besides the one he played, and Yamaha sold them with numbered badges and paperwork signed by Phil. They came with two necks, including one that I have not seen before, the G3X. If you want to get a very special 82z alto that plays REALLY well that also has some history and star power attached, this is the one for you! I've never seen another of the 16 for sale.
