Here is a fantastic, freshly-overhauled Selmer Mark VI Tenor from 1969. It is in great playing condition and feels like a new horn under the fingers. The job was done with leather pads and correct brown plastic Selmer style resonators. It feels dry and snappy and the pads give off a resonant ring when you close them (which is balm to the heart of a saxophone player). The tone is big and powerful and projecting, medium to medium dark, or brightens up nicely when pushed or played with a more aggressive mouthpiece. There are no dents or dings, and nothing has been resoldered. The original neck has not been pulled down or damaged either. There have been some dings removed from the back of the bow and bell, but not large ones - you can just see some lines in the lacquer from the dent ball, but no actual signs of dents, so clearly just some minor chair dings from or whatever. Super nice. Original case is also in great shape, and you also get a Brilhart metal levelaire mouthpiece (I think this is what Guardala based his designs on, though it costs a fraction of a Guardala!).
