This is a very nice looking Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone from 1970 with original lacquer and American engraving. It has most of its original honey gold lacquer intact, and almost all the original factory pads from 1970 as well. It's time for an overhaul on this one, and it will clean up beautifully when that is done as well. There are no significant past repairs or resolders. It had a few dings removed from the back of the bow area.
Interestingly, this VI alto came with a desirable earlier serial neck from 1961 that gives it a darker, more powerful, tenor-like tone similar to if the whole horn were from 1961. That makes this a great value! The neck is unlacquered as you can see, but not damaged or repaired and has the 93k serial stamped on it.
If you happen to want the horn without the neck, I would sell it for $1000 less that way. This comes in the original Selmer case in good condition.
