Solid silver Saxello-style Rampone & Cazzani R1 Jazz Half Curved Soprano saxophone in near mint original condition with original mouthpiece and case. This is the first fully solid silver Rampone I have seen, and it is glorious! No other company makes a modern saxophone like this that is so inspired by the big, round, dark velvety tone of a vintage Conn, but that has modern keywork, beautiful hand engraving, and the total package. The saxello style soprano that is bent neck, straight body, tipped bell, really makes sense to me as a usable design. It puts the weight of the horn down on your neck strap since the horn doesn't have to stick out diagonally from your body like a fully straight soprano, but unlike a fully curved soprano, your hands and shoulders can relax and play at a more comfortable angle. Plus, the tipped bell means you can hear your tone better, which is actually really nice. These solid silver Rampones are rare and almost never come up for sale used. I don't even see a new one available at the moment, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that - maybe they are only special order. In any case, here's a beautiful one for you to get that will likely go up in value while you own it.
