This is one of the nicest original condition King Super 20 tenors with full pearls that I’ve seen. This is the ‘series II’ version which has the best combination of keywork and deluxe features and is the most desirable vintage of King in most people’s book. The solid silver double-socket neck still has the factory gold lacquer over the silver, and the factory pads and setup are still intact. This horn needs an overhaul to play well. It has pads from 1953 after all. You won’t find a nicer example for sale anywhere. Even the original case is still in quite good shape. Everything about these horns says premium. I play one just like this myself.
