This is a beautiful original lacquer King Super 20 alto from the same vintage that Cannonball Adderley played on his most famous recordings. It has the full pearls, extra engraving on bell keys, solid silver double-socket neck -- the works! This is the vintage of Super 20 alto that sells the highest, and this particular example is fantastic. The thumb hook is a replacement for a modern, Selmer-like feel. Original case is in pretty good shape. It plays REALLY well, on good pads and a nicely-done pro overhaul. It has medium-sized slightly domed metal reso-tech resonators. The thumb hook is a comfortable addition, and will be a benefit if you plan to play this a lot, like you should. It is a superb player and deserves to be played.
