There’s no other saxophone that is quite as beautiful as a King SilverSonic with gold in the bell. The nice thing is that it plays as well as it looks. The tone is HUGE and projecting with a big fat open upper register that carries over a section and will do whatever you want it to do. This one has a fresh overhaul with hardly any play time on it. The pads look like Pisoni pros and resos are slightly domed plastic. I got a thorough setup done on this when it came in and we fixed everything from pad heights to key feel to neck fit. The whole thing is absolutely singing now and the intonation is also correct a few of the pads got swapped to lighter colored Pisoni along the way.
I also found a nice original King case for it that completes the package
As you probably know, Cannonball Adderley famously played one like this, as did Charlie Parker. I don’t see any signs of significant past repairs, and the original lacquer is nearly all intact with only some regular wear from use. You often see these Kings with solid silver neck and bell priced higher, but this one is in the more affordable range and will probably go fast. Only one available!
