Henton was intense about making a hard rubber mouthpiece that had a durable facing. So he used either silver or steel in the rubber mold to make a hybrid mouthpiece whose facing can withstand almost anything you would do to it. Something of a curiosity, this one is actually stamped Henton and Patented, which I haven't seen before. Probably an early example, and a bit more collectible if you're into that sort of thing.
