This is a great vintage American saxophone that ALREADY includes a recent full overhaul, but which is also still quite reasonably priced and plays effortlessly. The Buescher 156 has something of a cult following among Buescher Boosters, as it is a fully professional tenor but costs less than the Big B version of the Aristocrat. This horn plays really well with a round, medium dark tone that is easy to shape how you like. Intonation is easy on Bueschers in general, and on this horn it remains easy. There are no dents or dings or resolders that I see. The neck had a minor pull down corrected that is now the right angle, and there was a bow dent along with some small dings removed from the bow area. The gold plated Norton springs are present, and the pads are installed over the original snaps/spuds. It also comes with a nice ProTec contoured tenor case that fits it perfectly and that will protect it nicely for shipping or gigging. It's rare for me to have one of these overhauled and available for an affordable price!
