Here’s a nice Buescher 400 baritone saxophone (low Bb) with old pads. I don't know whether the lacquer is original or not, as I have not seen enough baritones of this model and vintage. I have it priced as if it's refinished. One digit of the serial is hard to read, but I think it's 554155.
It represents a fantastic opportunity to get a solid, nice condition vintage American baritone saxophone for a very affordable price. People love the Buescher 400 for its big, powerful tone and excellent intonation. You’ll have to repad it, of course, as it still has its original pads from the 60’s. Original case and neck are also in good original condition. It had a few dents removed from the body tube and is now mostly dent free and should be a fairly straightforward overhaul to the extent that a baritone overhaul ever is. For the price, it’s hard to beat!
