It's a 5-digit player for people on a budget, and it also has a recent overhaul done by Mike Hammer that looks and feels good. Nice and snappy and fast under the fingers, and low register response is easy and saturated. This Mark VI falls into the players horn category, with lots of past dents removed and several things resoldered. Dents removed (at some point) include: Bow dent, dents on the back of the bow, back of the body tube, front of the bell above the bow/bell connection, back of the body tube, and up near the neck receiver. Also some dent work on the neck where you see lacquer missing. This horn has a dark, focused, powerful tone with lots of projection. It's in that early 60's period where the VI had a ton of power and sounded great paired with a brighter mouthpiece for Brecker-like projection. This comes in a nice BAM softpack case as well, which will keep it safe for shipping and gigging. If you want a nice playing original lacquer Mark VI from a desirable early vintage, but you want it priced at like half of what a pretty 5-digit serial might cost even without an overhaul, that's this. I've priced it on the low side to sell quickly and be a great deal for someone.

Only one available!
