That is why it is stamped Selmer Elkhart NY. You see this same blank with several other names stamped on it as well. The Dukoff\/Zimberoff version has more hand finishing in the baffle than the Selmer Elkhart version, so I sent this to Brian Powell to have that work done, and to be opened up to a .100 or 7 tip. It now plays great, with a fairly open sound that is on the punchier side (for a vintage hard rubber piece) and has a nice buzz to it.
