Description
This beautiful Yanagisawa S6 Soprano saxophone is basically an exact reproduction of a Selmer Mark VI soprano saxophone, made in Japan by one of the best saxophone makers in the world. It sounds and plays very much like a Selmer Mark VI soprano, for a fraction of the cost. This particular example is in good condition with original lacquer in good shape and pads also in good playing condition. It had the typically slightly-flat bell flare like almost every vintage soprano, so I got that sorted out pre-sale. There are no other past repairs, and the horn is clean, in its original case.
If you have always wanted a Selmer Mark VI soprano, this really is the next best thing. Or really, the best thing. Because it is almost exactly the same if not even better-built than a VI. And it costs a lot less money. This Yanagisawa S6 Soprano is from 1975, and it has been well-cared-for. It has a high F# key as well, which is nice. The intonation is if anything a little better than a Mark VI, and the keywork is the same.
I priced this to sell. Someone will get a good deal on a nice soprano.
