Description
Here is a beautiful Yanagisawa B9930 Baritone Saxophone in very good condition. This horn was pro-owned since new, and it has no damage or past repairs. The neck and body tube are entirely solid sterling silver. The bow and bell are silver plated brass, and the keys are brass of course. This is one good looking saxophone, and everything about it says quality and precision. It is keyed from low A to high F#, and it plays the whole range quite easily. It has the floor peg which you can only get special order in Japan.
It just had a tune up by Matt Stohrer, who remarked that he hopes to get a Yanagisawa baritone someday. I feel the same way. This thing is just so easy to play. The low register jumps out as easily as any other note, and the whole scale is even and in tune. It’s really remarkable. The solid silver gives this horn more focus and extra overtones, and a bit more punch than if it were all brass, based on past experience of comparing these horns in different metals.
I am including my one and only Walt Johnson low A baritone case with this horn for safe shipping and easy gigging. That’s about a $1000 value extra.
If you like to own and play the best, but you don’t want to drop $15k on horn + case, this is your chance to save a ton and get a guaranteed great baritone that will last a lifetime. If the bit of wear on the bell bothers you, I can get that spot of the silver touched up very easily as part of a sale.
