Here is an excellent condition example of a Yamaha 675 soprano sax. If you’re wanting to get into soprano and you’re not sure what to buy, this is what I would recommend. This horn has no dents or dings or past repairs at all. It has just had a tune up and is playing its best right out of the case. Because it is so clean and little-used, it will be good to go for a long time.
The 675 is an excellent professional soprano, and it sounds virtually the same as the more expensive 875 version of Yamaha’s custom line. This makes it a great value in a pro soprano. This horn has two necks, straight and curved, and both necks are also in mint condition. This horn has a rich, full tone that is round and clear, and medium dark. It is a fun sax to play, and the response is especially notable. Intonation and ergonomics are of course excellent too. This should be an easy, turn-key purchase for a beautiful soprano saxophone.
