Yamaha YSS-62 Soprano Purple Logo Excellent Condition Fresh Overhaul! 1205

Gorgeous example of an early serial Yamaha YSS-62 purple logo soprano saxophone in excellent condition. This came with original pads, and it is now getting a complete overhaul through GetASax. These play so well, they have become the most loved modern soprano saxophone by far. The tone is warm and pleasant, with a good amount of focus and projection when pushed. The intonation is excellent. Ergonomics are comfortable. The Purple logo Yamahas like this are fantastic saxophones all through the range SATB, but the sopranos really stand out. That’s why Yamaha essentially reissued them as the 82 series sopranos. But the original is my favorite, and this is a great price on a beautiful one with a completely fresh overhaul that plays like a new horn. Pads are Italian leather Pisoni, and resonators are the correct brown slightly domed plastic.
