Here’s a great deal on a beautiful Yamaha 62 professional alto saxophone. When you start out playing saxophone, your teacher will likely recommend that you get a Yamaha 62. It’s kind of the standard recommendation for the first good saxophone that you get. And at this price, it’s not much more than a new Yamaha 26 student alto, so I usually recommend to people who want a good first alto to consider getting a nice used pro alto like this. It holds its value so much better and is also easier to play and stays in adjustment better. And the price isn’t that different, so it’s a good move if you have the money to put in at the start. It’s also cheaper than renting a student sax because you can resell this and get nearly all your money back out, which is the opposite of rent to own on a student sax that is nearly worthless after you pay it off.
This horn just got the pads checked out, and it plays really nicely. There are no past repairs of note, and it has no dents or dings. It’s a simple, turnkey purchase for a reliable Yamaha pro alto that does everything pretty well!
