Yamaha YAS-62 Purple Logo Alto Very Good Condition 44447

This beautiful Yamaha ‘purple logo’ YAS-62 alto plays GREAT. Its purple silk screened logo wore off long ago, so let’s call it an ultraviolet logo or something, since it’s now invisible. In any case, this version of the 62 is my favorite, and it’s the Yamaha that sounds the most like a vintage Selmer of any. I had a good player over here recently playing Mark VI’s and he played a purple logo at the same time and said it was like a good VI but more in tune. He still bought a VI, but the Yamaha was very close. If you’re looking for the best possible sax that does it all, and that also isn’t that expensive, relatively speaking at least, then you really can’t beat the YAS-62 of this particular version. I have another one that is overhauled as well, but this one just had a very thorough clean oil and adjust, and it plays great and is priced lower. I think you’ll love it!
