Description
This is a gorgeous example of a Yamaha YAS-62 from the early 80’s. The desirable ‘purple logo’ or ‘purple label’ version of the 62 is warmest and most complex sounding of the 62’s and is a great all-around alto saxophone. It was Yamaha’s top professional model in its day, equivalent to the 82 or 875’s role in today’s Yamaha lineup. Easily one of the best modern altos made. If you want one that is very clean and original, this is it.
