Selmer Soloist D short scroll shank reface “KAY VII*” Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece F06

Description

Straight sidewalls, small horseshoe chamber, rollover baffle. The tip opening measures 0.088″. This reface appears to be mostly on the siderails, but it completely changes the character of the mouthpiece. More free blowing, brighter, and flexible than a normal Soloist. The tip opening plays smaller than it measures, more like what you expect from a 0.075″ or so. While the tone is brighter than a normal soloist, it is not particulary bright, I would call it neutral on tonal character.
