This Selmer Short shank Soloist alto saxophone mouthpiece has a warm mellow tone for classical and ensemble work. Tip opening measures 0.070″. Complete your collection with a 5-digit Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone. This is the original mouthpiece it came with, up through the early 1960’s. If you open these up to a larger tip and push them, you can get a punchier Kenny Garrett sort of tone, though that is easier with a bit higher baffle.
