If you want the best playing Mark VI soprano around, get this one. It’s in the sweet spot for VI sopranos, in my opinion, right around SN# 140k but before the metal thumb hook goes away. It plays better in tune and with a richer tone than just about any other version of the Mark VI soprano. Mark VI promotional literature from 1967 touts “an entirely new method of forming the body to give intonation comparable to the Mark VI alto and tenor.” That would certainly seem to be the case with this horn. It is in near mint condition with no damage and no past repairs, and it includes the beautiful original case also. The bell flare looks great. This horn still has its **original** pads from 1967, and it plays quite well on them, considering. With an overhaul, it would be incredible. If you are looking for a world-class VI soprano, look no further. This is it! Only one available. Get it before it’s gone.
