Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone 148xxx Outstanding Player Relacquer

Here is an outstanding player of a Mark VI alto that has just gotten a fresh overhaul done by Steve Collins of Collins Hornworks. Steve does really high-quality pad and overhaul work, especially on modern altos like this. This horn has the correct brown Selmer style resonators on the new pads, and it plays GREAT. I was really having trouble putting this horn down when I was play testing it, so much so that I got behind on some other things. There are some saxophones that do that to you – you just want to keep playing it, because you feel like there is no barrier between the world and the sound that you can hear in your head. This horn was relacquered, and I had it re-engraved just to add more beauty to it (and because I thought it deserved it). Besides that, there was a dent removed from the back of the body, above the strap hook.

This horn is totally ready to go for many many years, and it should make someone really happy to get a superb VI alto for not too much money. Seriously, you should buy this horn. It is an outstanding player and totally ready to go with a fresh, top-shelf overhaul.
