This is a deal on an original lacquer The Martin Tenor SN# 179xxx. The reason this horn is priced lower than the other Martin Tenor I have listed is that it has more lacquer wear, and it needs a repad. It also has a few posts that have been resoldered. Besides that, it’s in great mechanical condition with all keys moving freely. It should be a straight-forward repad for whomever decides to buy this one. These horns are really fun to play with a big, powerful tone with warmth, and a signature “edge” if you push them. They work well for jazz, rock and R&B, depending on your choice of mouthpiece, and the horns are built like tanks so they will last forever and are really hard to dent or damage compared to other saxophones.
