This is a nice original lacquer The Martin Tenor SN# 200xxx. It has older pads. These are probably the best horn for the money of any vintage saxophone. There are no past repairs, except for the strap hook was resoldered, and a dent was removed by the thumb hook. The original lacquer is beautiful, at about 97%, and the neck is in great shape with not dents, no dings, repairs or pull down. These horns are really fun to play with a big, powerful tone with warmth, and a signature “edge” if you push them. They work well for jazz, rock and R&B, depending on your choice of mouthpiece, and the horns are built like tanks so they will last forever and are really hard to dent or damage compared to other saxophones. Ships in a nice original case.
