This is a very special horn for you Martin lovers out there (and I am one of them too, by the way.). It is one of the rarest professional Martin saxophones – the Handcraft Imperial (you can google themartinstory to find out a bit more about Martin saxophone history). This horn appears to have been a sort of transitional model between the Handcraft and the Handcraft Committee (1) saxophones. It is very well made, with excellent build quality and very nice thick brass.

This horn is all original, and that is what makes it such a remarkable example. You just NEVER see a Martin this old that looks anything like this horn does. It has literally spent its whole life in the case. The original sales receipt is still in there by the way, and the original case looks almost new inside and out as well. It’s kind of unreal. So for some lucky Martin collector out there, this would almost have to be the world’s nicest example of a Handcraft Imperial tenor (which is in itself already pretty rare). It also has all original pads intact, by the way, and it will still play a bit on them.
