Description
I seldom get to sell a Keilwerth saxophone. This may be because most Keilwerth owners have no intention of selling their horns! I know that I have no plans to sell my personal Keilwerth. This is a beautiful example of Keilwerth’s top pro tenor – the SX-90R, which has rolled tone holes and black nickel finish. The black nickel is a gorgeous saxophone finish. It’s classy and eye-turning, and it holds up better than lacquer too.
This horn has no past damage, no dents, no dings, no past repairs. It is in excellent physical condition, and cosmetically, there is just some minor play wear in the finish. The horn currently plays quite well, having just gotten the necessary playing condition work done. It has a big, fat, lush tone that stays fat into the palm keys. The tone is medium dark and, interestingly, it also easily brightens up with a more aggressive mouthpiece. That makes for a best-of-both-worlds scenario that is one of the things that people love about these horns. It ships in the original case, which is a cool aluminum sided hard case with soft, form-fitted padding inside.
