This is a beautiful original gold-plated Conn New Wonder II alto saxophone. It has almost all of its original gold plating intact, and it looks beautiful. This is a very early transitional New Wonder II, with the raised high E key, but it is still basically a NWII. The neck is in excellent condition and not pulled down. The microtuner works just fine. As I mention elsewhere, these gold-plated New Wonder II altos have a great tone and fill up a room like no other. In gold, they are an extremely good deal right now – you get the whole horn for about half of what it would cost just to gold plate an existing horn in today’s world. This horn is a great serial number as well, and it will certainly continue to go up in value for years to come.
In addition, this horn now comes with a fresh overhaul with all new pads, corks, felts and springs. It will be done very soon, so email to reserve it. The price includes the overhaul, and the horn looks even better than this now, with fresh hand-polishing!
