This is a rare old Conn curved soprano keyed to high F! It also has the rare finish of silver plate with gold plate accents, and it looks great. It has had a recent repad and plays very well. It includes a new, modern case too. It has had some key cage legs resoldered, as well as the neck octave key (see photos) but it is in very good mechanical condition. This horn has a big, warm voice and plays quite well. I would not recommend this for a beginner, because you need to be able to voice notes in your throat and have a good sense of pitch in order to keep everything under control. The pitch on these horns is not bad, but it is very flexible and sensitive to small changes on the player’s side.
This is a super deal on a vintage Conn curvy keyed to high F, and I would not be surprised if it gets snapped up quite quickly. Get it now before it’s gone. You only see a silver and gold one once every couple of years. The only other one I have seen like this was in the DrRick collection of rare vintage American saxophones.
