Here’s a beautiful, original lacquer Conn 10M tenor with a recent overhaul and rolled tone holes. Only the early 10M’s have rolled tone holes, which go away the year after this horn was made. The early post-war 10M’s have a little bit more volume than the pre-war ones, and are otherwise very similar. I don’t know of any differences in features between them. Conn just paused production for 3-4 years (mid 1942-1946) to make aircraft components during WWII and then got back to work making musical instruments. This tenor has nearly all its original lacquer and also has all new pads, corks and felts – the works. It got overhauled before I bought it, and then I had it setup to my liking, so it is playing really well. It’s also a great deal!
