The prize for the most undervalued vintage saxophone goes to the Buescher True Tone Series VI. It is truly a FANTASTIC saxophone, but it is currently still low-priced. It is also not super-easy to find. The Series IV wasn’t made for all that long, and these later ones are the best of the True Tones.
As the name suggests, these horns play with “True” intonation – they are easy to play in tune. This particular horn is in basically near mint condition – it has its spuds and snaps and Norton springs intact. The Silver plate is thick and nearly 100% there. It will look new when polished and repadded. If you want to get it restored through me, send me a message. Otherwise, it’s sold in original condition, ready to be repadded by someone and played again.
You won’t find a better horn for the money than this anywhere.
