Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone 301xxx Near Mint

Description

This is a very clean original lacquer Conn 10M tenor. It has almost all of its original lacquer. This horn is gorgeous and has been played very little since it was new. There is hardly any wear on it. One tiny ding was removed from the bell, and a few will be removed from the back of the bow pre-sale. This is all very minor. This horn is currently all original with original pads, so it needs an overhaul and the price is discounted accordingly.

Lots of guys all over the world seem to be moving from modern horns to vintage Conn tenors specifically, because they are looking for a bigger, more complex and rich tone. These horns easily blows away any modern horn tonally. (That includes even my favorite modern horns.) The only drawback is that you have to spend a couple of weeks getting used to the non-Selmer-style keywork. It is quite fast keywork once you’re used to it, and it’s well worth the adjustment period. Once it has an overhaul, this will be one excellent tenor.
