This is a nice original lacquer Buffet S2 tenor saxophone. It has older pads sealing well at present. It comes with the original case. There was a small ding removed from the front of the bell below the engraving, and that’s about it. This horn plays a lot like a Buffet S1 Tenor, with a big, bold medium bright tone that can go either in a classical direction, or that can cut through a band. Intonation is very good. The LH pinky cluster has the very comfortable S1 design with tilting low Bb. The RH pinky keys are Selmer-style and also quite comfortable. This horn should be a good deal for someone looking for a nice pro horn for a good price. The S2 is also extremely rare. This one was made in the mid 1980’s ( SN# 37xxx) and is the first S2 that I have come across. It ships in the original case in good condition.
