Description
This is a beautiful example of an original lacquer Selmer Mark VI soprano. Many VI sopranos are much more worn, and many are un-engraved. The later VI sopranos like this benefit from improvements that Selmer made along the way, and so tend to play and respond the most reliably and in tune.
This horn has no damage and no past repairs. There’s some light lacquer wear from use, which I like because I am sometimes afraid to play perfect mint VI’s. This horn comes to you from a good pro player in the UK who is very picky about his horns, and it plays great on current pads. The tone is warm, medium-bright, and balanced. It’s free blowing and responsive. Nothing else sounds like a VI soprano, and it works well with a range of mouthpieces. The case is also really nice and protective. Only one available!
