Description
This saxophone is sold! But click HERE to see our current selection of alto saxophones.
The Martin Magna is Martin’s most desirable model, with fancy engraving, deluxe features like super-sturdy keywork, and a silver cross on the bell and neck. It is a souped-up version of “The Martin Alto,” which is Martin’s pro horn from the late 1940’s on. It plays with a medium, powerful, crisp, dry tone and can also rock out and scream with the best of them with the right mouthpiece. These are super-well-made saxophones that came with fifty year warranties when they were sold, meaning that some of them are still covered by their manufacturers’ warranties:-) They are built like a classic American sports car with an attention to detail that you don’t see much in today’s saxophone design.
Cosmetically, this horn has some scratching from normal use, but no past repairs and no current damage. It also has pads in quite good condition and needs no additional work in order to play well. It comes in a new hard case to protect it well in shipping.
Martins are currently undervalued, so this is an opportunity to get a really great saxophone for not much money that will continue to go up in value while you own and enjoy it. There’s only one available! Get it before it’s gone!
