Description

Called the Searchlight or Skyline model, this is a great deal on a beautiful original lacquer Martin Handcraft Committee 1 tenor sax. If you have been shopping for a vintage saxophone, but many were too expensive, then this is what you might want to get. This one needs a repad, or at least a thorough going-over to play its best, but in good playing condition these are a great playing vintage saxes that just happens not to be all that expensive. It has the original neck in good shape with matching serial number, and it includes a modern case to keep the horn safe in shipping. The engraving on this saxophone shows a city skyline with lights shining up into the sky, and it looks very deluxe. They really don’t make them like they used to.

Tonally, these horns are beautiful players with a dark, warm voice, and lots of power. The tone remains fat and full up into the upper register. I’m pricing this horn low for a quick sale. It plays just ok as is, so to keep the price low, I am not spending money on it swapping out pads. You can have that done yourself, or have it done through me for just the extra cost of the amount of work you want to have done. Feel free to email if you have any questions, and buy with confidence. We take returns for any reason less shipping.

Only one available.
