Description
Nice, clean original lacquer Selmer Mark VII alto. This horn also has a fresh overhaul and plays great! Overhaul means everything is freshly redone, and it is ready for many years of playing without needing pads replaced. This is about a $800-1000 value add-on. No past damage, no dents or dings. Comes with the original case also.
These horns play very similarly to a Mark VI, but with a bit of a bolder tone that can be pushed a bit louder. The keywork is also different from a VI, with larger pinky keys on both hands. Sure, it’s not a Mark VI, but a Mark VII is a very very nice saxophone – easily as good as anything made today, and it will hold up very well over time too. This would be a good purchase either for someone who would like a vintage Selmer, but can’t afford a Mark VI, or who wants a modern Selmer, but finds the new ones to be priced out of range, and wants something that is even better made
