This is one of my favorite saxophones ever. It is an original gold plate Conn art deco transitional tenor with original gold plate finish! These horns are not only among the most beautiful saxophones ever made, but they also are among the best playing tenors ever. If you want a big, wide, rich Conn tone, and the best intonation and fullest, densest core tone available, this is for you.

Condition wise, there are a couple of resolders that you can see close ups of below. The octave key posts on the neck and the post for the high E key touch in the middle of the horn. Besides that, there have been some minor dents removed from the back of the bow, and a small one from the neck. That’s pretty great for an 80+ year old saxophone. This horn also recently got a full top-shelf overhaul, and is play its best. You can play a fully-saturated low Bb at pianissimo with ease. The sound just jumps out of the horn. It’s tons of fun to play and pure 30’s jazz power.

It includes the BAM Softpack tenor case in the photos, which is the best case for a vintage Conn Art Deco Transitional Tenor in my opinion bar-none. It is great for gigging, and will also protect the sax well in shipping.
