This is a remarkably clean example of an early Selmer Mark VI soprano. Early VI sopranos are quite hard to find, and this one is in superb condition. It has almost all new pads and plays great. There is no past damage, no dents, no dings and no past repairs.
The tone is classic VI soprano – a reedy, delicate French core tone that is medium between bright and dark and that can go in all sorts of directions depending on mouthpiece. If you have been looking for a great VI soprano for a while, this would be a good option. I have another one slightly later in silver plate that is also just as nice. This horn is American-assembled and unengraved. I could get it American-engraved with the correct engraving pattern for you if you want to discuss that possibility. It ships in the original case in good condition.
